Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Position Overview:
BRC Ranch is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Manager to lead and execute our marketing and promotional efforts. This role involves photography, video, managing major sales events, overseeing content creation, and supporting the marketing and social media strategy for BRC Ranch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advertising, photography, and social media, with a passion for seedstock cattle marketing.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sales & Event Coordination:
- Plan and execute marketing strategies for major sales events, including:
- BRC Night of Champions
- May Customer Appreciation Sale
- December Online Genetics Sale
- Develop written promotional materials, catalogs, and campaigns for each event.
- Work with graphic design team to bring ideas and concepts to life.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure successful event execution.
Content Creation:
- Manage and maintain the ranch’s photo and video database.
- Take high-quality photographs and videos of private treaty cattle and other cattle at the ranch like sires and donors.
- Edit and organize media for use in marketing materials, social media, and catalogs.
Marketing and Social Media:
- Assist in creating and implementing marketing strategies to promote BRC Ranch and its cooperators.
- Develop content for BRC’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Monitor engagement and provide regular updates to improve outreach.
Brand Support for Cooperators:
- Coordinate marketing efforts with key cooperator herds to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Support cooperators in their advertising needs, including creating promotional content.
Additional Duties:
- Attend 4-5 livestock shows per year with BRC to work at our booth, take pictures and videos.
- Attend 2-3 trade shows to represent BRC throughout the year.
- Coordinate ABLE program (youth mentorship program)
- Plan annual educational workshop in October.
- Monitor industry trends to keep marketing efforts innovative and competitive.
- Work with vendors and designers to create professional marketing collateral.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and industry partners to enhance brand loyalty.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in advertising, social media management, and photography/videography.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and video editing tools.
- Strong understanding of the cattle industry and ranching operations.
- Strong understanding of cattle visual appraisal.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, during sales events.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with livestock photography and videography.
- Familiarity with catalog production for livestock sales.
- Knowledge of social media analytics and advertising platforms.
- Experience with Brahman, Angus, or Hereford cattle a plus.
