Number of positions to be filled: 3 cashiers
Location: The Ranch Downtown Meat Market and Store, and The Brahman Museum
BRC Brands is seeking reliable and friendly Cashiers to join our team. This role will be split between The Ranch Downtown meat market and The Brahman Museum, providing a unique and diverse work environment. Additionally, this person may serve as an occasional host/hostess for private rentals held at The Ranch Downtown parlor and/or special events like the Wharton Wine Fest and others.
As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, packaging orders from our online store, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Transaction Handling: Accurately handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payments using our POS system.
- Register opening / closing: Daily counting of cash in the register drawer at opening and closing.
- Banking: Daily bank deposit drop off at the close of business.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the products, including our farm to table beef, we offer to assist customers with their inquiries.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the store area clean and organized.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing and restocking inventory as needed. Assist with counting inventory as needed.
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.
In addition to the requirements listed above, if the candidate was interested, our team could also utilize someone who was willing to do the following additional responsibilities:
High Level Responsibilities (If the candidate was interested):
- Event hosts/hostess: Opportunity to gain additional hours by serving as event host for private rentals for the “parlor” area of the business, including community events like Wharton Wine Fest (October), Christmas parade, parties, showers, and business meetings.
- TABC Certification to serve beer/wine at events.
Requirements:
- Experience: Preference given to those with prior experience as a cashier, especially using Shopify or similar systems. However, training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Tech savvy: Must be able to use email, text, and willing to learn how to use Basecamp (our task management system). Training will be provided on Basecamp.
- Skills: Must be good at counting cash and handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Personality: Friendly, approachable, and able to provide excellent customer service.
- Reliability: Must be reliable and punctual.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work in both The Ranch Downtown Meat Market and Store and The Brahman Museum.
