DRESS CODE – “Business Appropriate”
We value professionalism and maintain a standard of excellence in all aspects of our work, including personal presentation. Our dress code strikes a balance between comfort and professionalism, allowing for relaxed attire while upholding our commitment to a high standard of appearance. Additionally, we welcome a touch of western attire as part of our inclusive company culture.
Casual Attire: Our office encourages a relaxed yet professional dress style. Feel free to express your personal style while keeping in mind that your clothing should be clean, well-fitted, and suitable for a business setting.
TRD preferred attire is jeans with a company themed t-shirt.
Tops: Acceptable: collared shirts, fishing shirts, blouses, sweaters, knit tops, dress shirts, BRC t-shirts, agricultural industry themed t-shirts, school spirit t-shirts, college/university t-shirts, other t-shirts as deemed acceptable. Unacceptable: crop tops, tube tops, spaghetti straps, low cut shirts, any clothing with profanity, nudity, or promoting drug/alcohol use.
Bottoms: Acceptable: Jeans, slacks, dress pants, khakis, capris, knee length shorts or shorts no more than 3 inches above the knee, skirts for ladies, tailored jeans, leggings matched with a shirt that hits at the hip level or below. In winter, coveralls are acceptable. Unacceptable: Sweatpants, shorts greater than 3 inches above the knee, athletic shorts, overly torn or distressed jeans.
Dresses: Dresses should be knee grazer or longer with a modest neckline and sleeve length.
Shoes: Acceptable: Boots, athletic shoes, closed-toe shoes, loafers, flats, sandals, tasteful flip flops, and low-heeled shoes.
Unacceptable: Beach sandals, and excessively casual footwear, heels greater than 3.5 inches
BRC Ranch requires close toed shoes if working in the presence of animals. TRD requires close toed shoes.
Accessories:
- Accessories such as ties, scarves, belts, and jewelry are welcome to enhance your outfit.
- Avoid overly distracting or extravagant accessories.
- Facial piercings will be limited to no more than two piercings per ear.
- Jewelry: No more than three rings on two hands.
Headwear: Acceptable: Cowboy hats, baseball caps, beanies, ear muffs. Unacceptable: Any headwear displaying profanity, nudity, or drug or alcohol brands.
Grooming:
- Maintain good personal hygiene, grooming, and cleanliness.
- Facial hair should be well-groomed and tidy.
- Hair color should be natural appearing colors such as blonde, brown, black, gray, etc. No unnatural hair colors allowed including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, pink, purple, rainbow.
- A classic day makeup of base, blush, medium to light lip color, mascara, eyeliner and moderate eye shadow is preferred.
Business Meetings and Client Interactions:
When meeting with clients or during formal business events, opt for a slightly more polished and professional outfit.
Special Events and Themes:
On occasions of company-wide events, ranch functions, stock show days, or themed days, feel free to embrace the spirit while maintaining appropriateness and professionalism.
Not Permitted:
- Clothing with offensive graphics, slogans, or inappropriate language.
- Clothing promoting a competitor’s brand.
- Excessively casual or beachwear attire.
- Revealing or provocative clothing.
Supervisory Discretion: Department heads and managers have the discretion to set specific dress code standards for their teams, as long as they align with the overall casual business office dress code.
Remember, your appearance contributes to the overall image of our company. While we encourage individuality, we also value maintaining a professional atmosphere. Your cooperation in adhering to this dress code policy is greatly appreciated.
