To maintain a professional environment, protect company data, and ensure consistent productivity, all employees must follow the guidelines below regarding the use of RHD computers and workspaces.
- Software, Apps, and Downloads
- Employees are not permitted to download, install, or add any software, applications, browser extensions, or programs on company-owned computers without prior written approval from the CEO or VP, Administration.
- This includes—but is not limited to—productivity apps, social media tools, display backgrounds, design programs, password managers, games, or personal software. Unauthorized software will be removed immediately, and repeated violations may result in disciplinary action.
- Employees should use the default settings of Mac, including but not limited to, utilizing the dock at the bottom of the screen.
- Do not save items on the desktop. Use appropriate file naming and folder structures.
- Personal Use of Company Computers
- RHD computers are for business use only.
- Employees may not:
- Create, store, or edit personal files (resumes, photos, schoolwork, etc.)
- Access personal email accounts or cloud storage
- Use the computer for personal business, hobbies, or any non-work-related activities
- Personal browsing should be avoided entirely except for brief necessities (e.g., checking the weather). Anything more must be done on a personal device, not a company computer.
- Workspace Appearance & Professional Standards
Our office environment represents the RHD brand. Workspaces should remain professional, organized, and free of excessive clutter while allowing for reasonable personal touches.Employees are encouraged to regularly review their desks and computer areas with professionalism in mind. Personal items, notes, and reminders are acceptable as long as they:- Do not create visual clutter or distraction
- Do not interfere with work equipment or functionality
- Remain appropriate for a professional office setting
- Do not have any passwords for any logins or accounts.
- Management may periodically review workspaces. If any concerns arise, employees will be notified and given the opportunity to make adjustments. Our expectation is that employees will promptly address feedback to help maintain a consistent and professional office environment.
- File Management & Data Protection
- No files may be saved on the desktop. All files must be stored in approved locations such as:

- Shared team drives
- Designated project folders
