Ranch House Designs is seeking a relationship-driven sales representative to help serve our customers in this area in the livestock and rural business industry. This position would also serve as the main point of contact for developing our partner program and referral network. This is not a corporate sales job. It is an opportunity for someone already involved in the cattle, livestock show, or agricultural world to work in a flexible environment promoting our company and serving our customers in this area.

SALARY: 10% sales commission bonus + recurring commission on websites
HOURS: Flexible during normal business hours.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as internal business development specialist serving our existing clients.
- Lead sales efforts for serving our existing client base (approximately 800 clients) who have new projects they need to begin.
- Lead sales efforts in specific categories of veterinary medicine, livestock nutrition, and commodity organizations.
- Organize and develop a RHD partner program in which we foster referrals from existing clients and other design agencies
- Proactively develop lists of prospective clients and generate new business through personal contacts, email, on-site visits, social media and email. (No cold calling ever required.)
- Schedule and conduct sales phone calls with the goal of understanding the client’s business, walk them through our process, answer questions and make the best recommendation for their needs and budget.
- Develop bids for projects based on information collected from clients and our recommendations.
- Weekly outreach and relationship building.
- Track sales prospects and follow ups
- Active participation in the livestock community.
- When a new project is booked, facilitate the project’s beginning by handing off details to project managers.
- Provide monthly sales report in company meetings
- Develop new ideas to grow sales within RHD through email, social media, trade shows, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in Google Sheets including how to create formulas for sum and averages.
- Quickbooks Online experienced preferred (to send sales estimates)
- Excellent writing skills, excellent phone professionalism.
- Competence in web browsers and Google
- Self starter and active learner
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Basecamp experience is a plus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Sales experience
- High school diploma required. Preference given to applicants with an associate degree or B.S. degree
- Must have at least two years of practical experience in a sales or agricultural environment
COMPANY CULTURE
- We are fast paced, multi-tasking office that works with numerous clients and projects simultaneously.
- Most of our communication is email or text based so proficiency in both of these is required.
- Team members are given quarterly sales / project benchmarks and are expected to complete them on or ahead of schedule.
