Build Something From the Ground Up
The Ranch Downtown is expanding and we’re looking for the right person to help lead it.
We are looking for a someone who wants to build, create, and grow something from the ground up. From launching a coffee and drink bar, possibly a grab-and-go food program to planning community events and driving store traffic, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our store.
If you have an entrepreneurial mindset, love people, and enjoy both operations and creativity, this could be the perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities
1. Startup & Development
- Assist in planning and execution of coffee bar / drink bar and potential grab-and-go food operations
- Research and source equipment (espresso machines, grinders, refrigeration, prep equipment, etc.)
- Help design workflow for a small, efficient service space
- Develop drink menu (coffee, espresso, specialty drinks, teas, energy drinks, lemonades) and light food offerings
- Establish vendor relationships for coffee, ingredients, and supplies
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food handling regulations
2. Daily Operations
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the coffee bar and support overall store operations
- Hire and train baristas to do daily drink operations
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the store
- Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and serviced
3. Team Leadership
- Train, and supervise baristas and employees
- Create staff schedules and manage team coverage
- Set expectations for customer service, efficiency, and store standards
- Lead by example with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
4. Customer Experience & Community Engagement
- Create a welcoming, small-town environment where customers want to return
- Maintain high standards for product quality and consistency
- Handle customer questions, feedback, and problem resolution
- Manage social media and promote in-store offerings
- Plan and execute events (cook-offs, tastings, community gatherings)
- Utilize outdoor/green space to drive traffic and engagement
5. Financial & Business Oversight
- Manage cost of goods, waste, and labor efficiency
- Assist in pricing strategy and product selection
- Help drive revenue through creative ideas and strong execution
- Operate with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in coffee shop, food service, retail, and management
- Knowledge of espresso equipment and drink preparation
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage both people and processes
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
What You’ll Get
